The Building Envelope Assessment
Our assessment team provides building envelope assessments for every type of building. Uncontrolled air leakage and poorly performing insulation systems cause comfort complaints, durability issues, and excessive utility and maintenance costs. Utilizing specialized envelope testing tools, like powerful blower doors, pressure testing equipment, and infrared cameras, we can identify insulation defects as well as quantify air leakage and pinpoint its sources.
We use the air leakage testing protocol developed by the US Army Corps of Engineers to complete all of our large building envelope testing and follow RESNET's infrared thermography protocols to discover weaknesses in the building's thermal control systems.
