New Construction

Q:  When is the best time to get you involved in a new construction project?
A:
Making changes to a project is more afforable the earlier you make them. The sooner we can be involved,
the more affordable options you will have to increase the performance of your home. If you have already
installed the interior wall finishes, then it is too late for any envelope related work, but there is still an
opportunity to fine-tune the mechanical systems.

Q:  Which green-certification program is best for me?
A:  All of the programs are different. Because there are so many options, and a variety of reasons for building
green in the first place, we find that it is best to meet with our clients individually to learn more about your
goals & priorities. The answer to this question becomes clear as the pros and cons of each program are
reviewed and balanced against your needs.

Q:  Who hires you - the homeowner, the builder, or the archtiect?
A:  We have worked for each of these individuals. The goals/structure of the project commonly determine this.

Q:  Can we hire you to mange the complete design/install of the envelope and mechanical systems?
A:  Yes. Clients often hire us to design and specify the envelope (thermal) and mechanical systems, followed
by the management of their installation, including inspections/testing to ensure optimum performance.
