New Construction Crawlspaces
We have been sealing the crawlspaces of homes since 2003. Many of these have been for new homes, so the crawlspace never becomes a problem that needs to be addressed later.
Not only does a sealed crawlspace keep your house dry, but, if designed properly, it also makes it more efficient. Most homes place their HVAC ductork within the crawlspace area. In a conditioned crawlspace scenario, this ductwork is located within the thermal envelope, reducing the amount of heat "lost" through the ductwork throughout the heating months.
We design the crawlspace system to work with the insulation system and HVAC system of your new home, so all three systems are functioning in harmony.
